Birthday wish list 2017 {dietitian edition}

Do you need gift ideas for a dietitian you know and love? Right this way!

Birthday wishlist 2017 {dietitian edition}

Let’s start off with something no good dietitian should be without: water.

1. Nalgene 48 oz. water bottle

It’s easy to stay hydrated if you carry around a monster water bottle like this one. I’ve had mine for about six months and I love it. It’s easy to clean (no straws and flippy contraptions) and I don’t have to refill it as often as I do the smaller ones. Sometimes I accidentally leave it in the car, so a second one wouldn’t be a bad idea.

2. Kitchenaid vegetable spiralizer attachment

Everyone seems to be on the spiralizer train these days(except spell check). While the little hand-held spiralizers are fine, I have my eye on the Kitchenaid Spiralizer Plus attachment. Just watch the video and you’ll want one too.

3. Kitchenaid vegetable sheet cutter

As long as we’re cutting fruits and vegetables into fun shapes, lets add a Kitchenaid Vegetable Sheet Cutter to the list. I’m envisioning apple pie lasagna, cucumber tea sandwiches, and Thanksgiving enchiladas with sweet potato “tortillas.”

4. Food Network {deep} lasagna pan

Kevin and I recently had a very serious conversation about how 9 x 13-inch pans are inadequate for lasagna. Food network makes a very nice lasagna pan that we have our eyes on. White please.

5. Yoga socks

A couple of weeks ago I made a less than graceful descent down the stairs, leaving me bruised and temporarily incapacitated. Since then I have realized how slick my socks are and how easily they slide on the super short-pile carpet in the basement. I’ve wanted these for a while, but now I have a good reason to acquire some grippy yoga socks. It’s a safety issue, folks.

6. Yoga blocks and strap

It’s been a long time since high school gymnastics, and my {lack of} flexibility won’t tell you otherwise. This set of blocks and strap should help.

7. Nuts ‘n More peanut butter

I don’t even know what to say. Can I have all of the flavors? Right now I have my eye on the salted caramel peanut butter from nuts ‘n more.  Does anyone have flavor recommendations?

Although my birthday isn’t until next week, I’ve already gotten a couple of surprise packages from friends. Their gifts are perfect! Yes, I was naughty and opened them early. What’s on your wish list this year?
