Continue reading “Maple almond butter chia pudding”During our brief stay in Southern California, Kevin and I adopted a favorite little doughnut shop not far from our apartment. It seemed just a little bit wrong for a student of nutrition and dietetics to be frequenting a place of fried pastries, but we only indulged three or four times during our entire 1 1/2 year stay. And we split our two doughnuts over like three days.
This doughnut shop taught me that I was altogether wasting my time on all pastries but apple fritters. On those few early Sunday mornings when we would rattle down to the store in our old Jeep, I was richly rewarded with a fresh apple fritter, the sugary glaze barely even crusted over.
